Our Folkhaus
Our home has been an ongoing project over the last few years. We have slowly renovated and shaped the spaces with care as we’ve lived alongside it. Being a 1930s property, it already had so much character, and we wanted every change we made to feel connected to the original features rather than competing with them.
We’ve made many of the pieces ourselves, from the kitchen cabinetry to freestanding furniture designed specifically for the space. Throughout the house we’ve used natural materials, such as solid pine, oak and reclaimed timber. Our walls are bathed in warm yellow and terracotta tones. You can find vintage furniture we have slowly collected over time; including our growing collection of ducks that seem to appear in every room.
This is our place to slow down, spend time together, reflect, and gather inspiration for future projects. It’s imperfect, personal, and always evolving, which is exactly what we love most about it.
