The Weymouth Road Kitchen

A kitchen island can quietly become the centre of a home.

This one was built for a family who wanted more than extra worktop space; a spot they could all naturally gather, a place for rushed breakfasts, homework after school, cups of tea, and conversations while dinner cooks.

We made the island from solid pine with a simple, timeless design that would feel settled in the room rather than stand out from it. Featuring a bespoke copper worktop that will also patina with time. The goal was warmth, practicality, and something that would age well with everyday use. Every mark and detail was considered carefully, from the proportions to the finish, so it felt comfortable to live with from the very beginning.

What we enjoy most about projects like this is knowing they become part of daily family life. Not just furniture, but something used and shared every single day.

Simple materials, honest craftsmanship, and a piece made to last.
